UGH, UGH, UGH!
After writing a wonderful post that took a few hours (!) I accidentally deleted it.

So, now I am testing out an ‘offline blog editor’ which is supposed to make it harder for me to make stupid mistakes like clicking a delete key.

This is being written on ScribeFire. It’s easy enough but I can’t find the feature that saves the post on my computer so that I have the backup I need….when I’m offline.

Ugh.

Void. Of Course!

Today the moon goes void-of-course at 9:54am. This ‘black-hole-of -time’ remains in place until 1:22am tomorrow.

irs2.jpg So, here’s a tip that you won’t find anywhere else. Mail/Email your tax return during a void-of-course moon and you’ll reduce the liklihood of any repercussions, ie. audits! Please note I said “mail”, I did not say prepare. You still need to do the important part of preparing the forms when you are clear & focused. But as for the mailing date….or clicking send if you’re filing online….that’s a different story.

Enter The Shamans ….. earth meets sky …….

The Peruvian shamans living high up in the Andes Mountains have come down to tell us that a new species of human being is about to appear. They call this being ‘Homo Luminous’. They tell us that forerunners of Homo Luminous are already among us right now. Like Cro-Magnon Man of 26,000 years ago, the last time that we passed through the cusp of Aquarius, so too now a new human is emerging. This new human will possess entirely new qualities that we do not have. The great Avatars, Jesus Christ, Krishna and many others may have early arrivals for this newly emerging species. So as the hand on the great cosmic time clock passes into Aquarius one can expect massive changes to occur. While the ancient art of alchemy is concerned with many aspects of our existence including the extraction of light from plants and minerals, the transformation of the dark lead of our physical being into the pure gold of enlightenment and much more, alchemy also is a symbolic ontology concerned with the observation in the changes of the “quality” of time through the 25, 920 years-long duration of the Great Year.

The world is changing. The past will disappear and history will become legend and finally myth. Our destination is unknown. The only thing we know for sure is that it will change.

Why are there only 360 degrees in a circle?

That question was asked in one of my classes recently. I’ve been pondering this now for a couple of days. Why isn’t a circle 361 degrees, or 365, or 720, or 1? Where/when/how/why did 360 become the *magic* number of degrees?

Calling all mathematicians, astronomers, historians, musicians, physicists, cheaters & priests!

Come to my aid and answer this question!

Hip-Hop Harp

Recently at Kripalu, I had the great, good fortune to meet up with

Akim Funk Buddah.

Akim is a wonderful teacher and/or role model for our youth today. He delivers a very important and timely message within his chosen form of Hip-Hop music and Rap style of talking. I am grateful that he is out there helping to create a more peaceful world.

In my wildest dreams, never did I see myself performing the harp in accompainment to one such as he. As some of my closest friends have said,

“You just can’t make this stuff up!”.

Anyway, check him out by clicking on the link above. And if you ever get a chance to see him, do it! Sometimes, you just never know who is going to have an impact on your life. Isn’t that a good reason to practice kindness towards all?

Feng Shui – Tip of the Day

It’s time to become more consciously aware of the quantity of electro-magnetic energy that you live with inside your home. Unfortunately our insatiable desire for convenience has overtaken our common sense. Take a look at how many electrical appliances are in your bedroom for starters. Lights, radios, tv’s, computers…….what else is in there? Did you know that all of these items emit electromagnetic energy even if they are turned off? Did you know that electro-magnetic energy weakens your immune system? Do you realize that when you are sleeping (or tossing around from insomnia) your body is more vulnerable to electro-magnetic energy? Do you think there might be a connection between your insomnia and your health to the amount of electro-magnetic energy in your bedroom? I certainly do.

ERIS…re-visited.

So, the last time we discussed Eris we were talking about strife, discord, and chaos; looking for where in our lives those circumstances are showing up.

For me, Eris lands smack in the center of my tenth house which is also populated by an Aries North Node.

Eris in the tenth seems to be showing up by placing me in circumstances where I must ‘publicly’ assert myself in ways that are habitually uncomfortable. Hmm, that deserves a portion of my meditation time.

Today had been March 31, 2007 and I can honestly say that there’s an awful lot of ‘strife’ in the world. My observations lead me to believe that the root cause is not Eris, or any other thing that is ‘outside’ of ourselves. Heal the strife within…..

ERIS

April 9, 2007……thought I’d check in with Eris, the goddess of strife, discord, and struggles. Philip Sedgewick gives the astronomical position of Eris as 20AR46 as of April 2. When you have an orbiting planet/asteroid as far away as Eris is it helps to have some kind of reference/resource to help us understand. The Sabien Symbol for 21AR is ” A Pugilist Enters The Ring”. (I am refering to Dane Rudyhar’s book titled The Astrological Mandala) When Eris reaches 22AR, the forecast lightens up tremendously…..we then get to experience “the gate to the garden of all fulfilled desires.” Wow! Sounds special, doesn’t it? Let’s check back in and see when it’ll reach the twenty-second degree of Aries? …..April 30, 2007……enjoy it while it lasts because in Oct it develops retrograde motion and returns to the stance of the pugilist.

Time passes slowly sometimes. Now it’s May 30, 2007 and Eris hasn’t budged. Continuing strife, discord and chaos……. and I can see the light, too.

Moving thru this kind of Eris energy for decades without end can be really, really, stressful.
