I’ve been teaching people the principles of feng shui for a long time and it’s sheer joy to see how many people have become conscious  of what they have previously been unconscious of.

Lives have changed as a result of working with this ancient practice.

Many, by now have learned a lot about the basics of feng shui.

But, there’s always more to learn, you know?

How do you know when to call in the professional feng shui consultant?

Here are some guidelines:

  1. When clutter gets out of hand.
  2. Before you ‘break ground’ on a new project.
  3. Before you sign the purchase agreement.
  4. If you have a long spell of unfortunate events.
  5. If you plan to: renovate, sell, expand, move.
  6. If you are wanting to make some kind of change but feel *blocked*.
  7. If everyone in your neighborhood is experiencing similar events.
  8. Just because………………!

Feng Shui in the 21st century is quite different from how it was practiced ages ago.   Intuition and a strong kinesthetic sense is still a requirement for the professionals, however new tools have provided more to see and be aware of.

Check out these modern day maps.  Local space astrology & Astrocartography.  Recently, I had a client return after a short stay in a location I had recommended she visit.  Things happened for her that are hard to explain using simple left-brain logic.

Practice good feng shui.

Ancient Wisdom Feng Shui

Somewhere along the way to modernization and advancing technologies we lost track of one important thing. We are human animals, full of basic needs and instincts requiring regular doses of certain things such as light, color, fresh air, good food, clean air, and healthy environments. Whether or not the mind is consciously aware of what is present in the environment, the body is constantly receiving and responding to the steady flow of information emanating from the location. The further we are from a natural environment symbolically and actually, the more challenging and stressful it becomes to work and live. Environments create consciousness and consciousness creates behaviors. We are not separate from our environment whether we are inside or outside of buildings. Whether we are tense and stressed at our desks or in our kitchens our work and our lives will reflect that condition. And one thing is for certain these days…..everybody is tense!

When we begin to take conscious control over the unseen elements in our environments, subtle adjustments begin to occur in our psyche at the same time.

Try it. You’ll like it.

As we run around our lives finding a corner for this, and a corner for that, in feng-shui-speak ……..it’s good to remember to dedicate a space to Chiron, the wounded healer. He’s been quite a teacher to me, and for that I send him Metta.

So, pull out your astrocartography map and find Chiron’s line and where it’s pointing.

Chiron is in constant companionship with Neptune and the North Node these days, moving ever closer to it’s highly anticipated conjunction with Neptune, a major event for sure.  For more information on this visit Dan’s site.….it’s quite informative.  I am planning a series of workshops at home and on the road to take advantage of these wonderful healing vibrations.  Join my email list (look over on the right for the link) or contact me here with a comment.

May all beings heal. May all beings feel love. May peace be with us always. Once you’ve located Chiron’s spot in your space, begin to take out ‘clutter’. (It’s good to have a conversation with a feng shui consultant to determine what is and what is not clutter.).

And, it runs right thru Southern California on my astro-cartography map. AstroCartography is an astrological technique by which we re-draw the ‘map of the heavens’ and place it on Planet Earth. Mathematically, we are transforming time into space…..or rather, integrating them…..together.

I became fascinated by this technique from Jim Lewis way back in the ’80’s. I took a weekend workshop where Jim taught the attending astrologers how to work with his maps and It blew me away! I’ve been playing around with this technique ever since and I’ve come to respect it as much as the more traditional ways to use astrology. When combined with feng shui, astro-cartography becomes a powerful methodology for positive action. Go here to read a post on a related topic.

I don’t have any major lines running thru my current hometown location. I have two paran lines that I cross over if I drive a couple hours south. Other than that, not much going on here for me in NJ.

However, as you can see by looking at this map the line representing Pluto goes right thru Long Beach, California where I am going to be spending a month, soon. Oh dear! For this Scorpio Sun, it’s a mixed blessing for sure. No doubt it’ll be a life-changing (transformational) trip.

 Pluto Line

The horizontal (paran) line that crosses it near Long Beach represents Mercury/Jupiter. Aaaaah. That feels better…..especially since I will be spending a good deal of time writing while I’m out there. For one who earns her living teaching, this location could be quite a ‘page-turner’! 🙂

Transiting Pluto is moving thru my 6th house these days and coming into orb of my Moon/Uranus opp. Venus aspect. It’s the tightest aspect in my chart and hasn’t had a major aspect from Pluto in a long time. Something is getting ready to happen for sure.

So, what to do?

Following my own advice the first thing is to notice….thoughts, feelings, attitudes, expectations, prejudices, all the ‘knee-jerk’, unconscious responses to this information. I confess to a little fear, but also anticipation and excitement too.

For now, I think the task is simply to get comfortable with not-knowing anything (for certain) and stay open to possibilities.

Hmmm. Sounds like a plan.
