I spent over 20 years working in the real estate industry as a broker/agent/manager and trainer.  The mechanics, data-crunching, and technical parts of the industry are rather generic and simple to learn, in my humble opinion.  The difference between a good agent/manager and a great agent/manager is 'people skills' ......otherwise we could ask a computer to drive us around.  Although my career has expanded beyond real estate I continue to have a 'soft spot' for all those that are in the business of providing housing.
