Yoga & Astrology, A Weekend Workshop in 3 parts.
August 1 - 3, 2008 The Sanctuary I've been exploring the interplay between yoga and astrology since 1976 and after nearly four decades of exploration I can positively say that there is not just a connection, but rather a complete energy-exchange-experience that happens when you practice them at the same time. It's as if one modality 'informs' the other, and the results are greater than the parts. The difficulty lies in the fact that you have to discover it for yourself thru your own practices. No one can tell you what is true. A teacher's value is in her ability to guide you and point out the possible obstacles along the way. However, you have to do the work, practice the practices, and show up. This weekend is a great opportunity to continue on your path to higher consciousness. On Friday night we'll acknowledge the Solar Eclipse in Leo and spend most of our time in lecture and discussion. We'll talk about eclipses, cycles, and returns weaving in threads of yogic philosophy. Together we'll compose an intention that accurately reflects our needs/desires of the moment. Bring your natal chart if you have one. Contact me if you don't. Saturday's workshop will explore some of the themes we discovered in our discussion experientially. We'll use yoga, art, music, and movement to help open creative channels and find our most authentic self. Sunday Morning Yoga will be a gentle vinyasa flow in social silence. We'll work with the theme of Yoga & The Virgo Moon to pick up on the astrological currents of the day. We'll complete our session with Metta Meditation. You're invited to hang around until 11:30 am to ask questions, to socialize a bit, and soak in the good vibrations. You can register for the entire workshop or just one part.
