Graceful Aging......from aging to saging
Age is an issue of mind over matter.
If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
~Mark Twain
No modern-day
approach to health & longevity rivals the depth of well-being
provided by some of the ancient practices of yoga. Rather
than denying the natural aging
process, these ancient practices enhance the process and create a basis
for increased health, vitality, focus & fulfillment. Aging
does not have to mean a loss of energy, flexibility &
strength. Neither does it have to mean you need to suffer from
negative emotions, lack of purpose, or isolation. And finally, our
minds are perfectly capable of remaining sharp, focused, and creative.
Join us this morning
for a wonderful experience of ancient practices & modern
experiential techniques geared towards creating a new perspective on
aging. As many have said before me, attitude is everything.
However, sometimes we have to practice working with our body/mind to
shift our perspective to one that is more supportive and enhancing.
Together we’ll learn:
-
Breathing techniques to increase relaxation and release fear of
the unknown.
-
Meditation techniques to calm & quiet the mind promoting clear
& focused thinking.
-
Gentle yoga postures to strengthen, create more flexibility, and
increase vitality.
-
Guided Yoga Nidra to release long held tensions in the body and create
space for new attitudes.
-
Expressive movement to awaken creativity.
-
Deep Listening skills to support our emotional processes and improve
our relationships with others.
-
Time management without a clock to promote growing, learning, &
evolutionary growth.
